Mission
oneVillage Foundation-Nigeria identifies
the possibilities of combining communication, community
development and strategies for eco-living,
so that humanity can move forward as one. It develops
scenarios and strategies for realizing the possibilities
under real-world constraints, by identifying opportunities
for each individual, community and organization to exercise
its highest role in the transformation and unification
of the human family.
OVF Nigeria by organizing workshops, seminars, public
lectures, and campaigns, disseminates information about
potential ICT and sustainable
development ventures to potential collaborators,
investors as well as the general public. Central to
OVF Nigeria's mission is to develop a global
information network that takes into account
serious concerns about growth issues such as the digital
divide and also sustainable development.
Social Enterprise Focus
A number of regional cooperation projects and programs
have been carried out by OVF-Nigeria in the past to
raise consciousness and promote community development.
Recent developments have focused on developing a social
enterprise model to incubate businesses to raise money
for our projects. One example of progress on this front
is the recent agreement with FAN MILK PLC
to distribute their products.
