in the southwest of Nigeria, West Africa.
He gained knowledge in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
from the Federal Polytechnic in Ede coupled
with the computer knowledge from both Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife and University of Ibadan.
He has been a member of Institute
of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), since 2001
and a member of Association
for Computing Machinery (ACM), since 2002. Olaposi has
made contributions in several International student festivals.
In addition to his expertise on ICT issues, he also has a
level of understanding on cultural and religious diversity
in the global village. He was recently invited to lecture
on this topic. His diverse learning experiences and background
have helped him to better perform towards making the vision
of ICT real so that these tools are fully utilized to enable
people to learn and communicate effectively.
He founded the Global Resource Information Technology
Network (GRITEN) in 2001. This organization includes
people from various fields who use or see the need to use
Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a major tool
in promoting access to information, both regionally and internationally
through a variety of means and approaches. It also assists
in exposing potentials in various fields of disciplines. GRITEN
seeing the benefits of ICT in promoting environmental sustainability
sought to improve ties between corporate bodies and other
non-governmental organizations and to empower people in marginalized
communities both urban and rural throughout Nigeria via information
sharing.

In October 2003, an arrangement was made with OneVillage
Foundation to combine our efforts to achieve our shared vision
in building a socially just and sustainable world for humanity.
Until the agreement of this merger, GRITEN has renamed itself
as oneVillage
Foundation-Nigeria (OVF-Nigeria).
Through his work with OVF, Olaposi has strived to move forward
on the goals that led to the establishment of GRITEN. For
example the desire to further improve ties between NGOs and
corporations is vital to promote understanding of the complementary
roles that they play in society. Specifically more partnerships
between the NGO and corporate community are necessary to not
only foster greater ecological awareness but also to seek
practical, economically viable solutions towards the development
of a sustainable society for Nigerian and the world.
