My name is Olaposi Olakunmi Abiola, Male with family name Eluwole in Ile-Ife from a tribe known as Yoruba in the Southwest Nigeria, West Africa.

My knowledge in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Federal Polytechnic Ede coupled with the computer knowledge from both Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and University of Ibadan has given me edge over others to perform better in the vision of building ICT tools to enable people to learn and communicate.

I'd been a member of Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), www.ieee.org since 2001 and a member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), www.acm.org since 2002. I have made contributions in several International student festivals like ISWI, OFW and GrIStuF among others. I was officially invited to the GrIStuF 2002 to come and deliver a lecture on my right-up topic, "Cultural and Religious Diversity" in the global village.

I founded Global Resource Information Technology Network (GRITEN) in 2001, which comprises of people from different field to use Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a major tool in promoting access to information, both regionally and internationally within individual organization and Management Corporation through Global Network System. It also assists in exposing potentials in various fields of disciplines. The GRITEN also advocates on Environmental sustainability via efficient Global network system, improve ties between corporate bodies and other Non-governmental organization via information sharing. It also deals with the expansion of Rural/Urban drift development.

Actually GRITEN as to her targeted vision has been performing low due to the poor access to funds, but with the assistance of the advisory board and contributions from the committed members we have been able to carry out some projects, which has been success, and this has been keeping us alive to work harder.

  • Workshop and seminar on the needs for maintaining healthy environment was organized in November 2002.Targed "Clean-up Abuja Campaign".
  • Survey on Information Technology awareness in Oyo State like Oyo township, Iseyin and Okeho.
  • Routing demonstrative workshop on importance of information technology in chosen schools in Ibadan.

In October 2003, a concluded arrangement was made with OneVillage Foundation to combine effort to achieve our shared vision in building a holistic ICT environment. GRITEN has then been operating as OneVillage Foundation-Nigeria (OVF-Nigeria).
