Project Pillar: Ecology
Project cost:
$2000 dollars
Project Status: Through a grant
from OVF USA the cooperative was able to secure
a commitment from the federal government of Ghana
towards the purchase of "Palm Oil and Palm
Kennel Oil Processing Plant" The option of
a Multipurpose Modern Oil mill was carefully chosen
as there are none in the local area and for this

Project Name:
Jukwa Farmers Coop
Location: Jukwa, Ghana
Vision:
A thriving market in Africa to produce
healthy food sustainably.
Project Design and Rationale:
Work
with rural and semi-urban communities in identifying
economically viable organic farming operations.
We are identifying global organic farming network
and technology to build the model for self-sustaining
community living. By sustaining the small communities,
many of them are in the rural areas in the developing
countries, migration from the rural area to urban
area would be corrected which will contribute
into the balance growth of the human evolution.
Goals:
1. Provide a livelihood for local farmers using
the land sustainably while providing healthy food.
2. Expand to other communities in the oneVillage
Foundation network, identifying where ecological
devastation is occurring and organizing communities
to bring and end to those practices and restore
the land - restorative economics.
3. Teach villagers and farmers how to market traditionally-produced
crops as organic, and how to do the record keeping
necessary for organic certification.
