Mr. Kennedy Edwine Onyango, is a Youth Leader and
well-known Community Development Facilitator. Kennedy
has wealth of knowledge in application of Information
Communication and Technologies (ICT�s) towards rural
communities� economic development and integration
resulting to holistic development.-He has served in
some and more of the notable Strategic Planning Committees
in Kenya and international level.
Kennedy is the founder and Director of Community
Initiatives and Social Support Organization (CISSO),
a Community Based Organization that empowers the rural
communities of Kenya. He is recognized as an eminent
development activist who in the late 1990�s, recognized
the need of having an all-inclusive, gender based
organization with a capacity to address the problems
affecting the less-developed rural communities in
a participatory and equitable manner. This approach
empowered the communities targeted since women forms
58% of the total population and are hardly heard in
policy formulation processes due to lack of an inclusive
measures meant to empower them.
He is a popular conference speaker who has spent
the last 3 years helping people dramatically improve
their lives. He is known for moving audiences with
powerful, provocative and practical advice that is
rooted in sustainable development principles resulting
to all-inclusive and gender-based programmes empowering
the communities socially and economically.
Kennedy, is currently the Country Director of oneVillage
Foundation, Kenya. He is creating and building networks
in Africa, an approach that is based on social-economic
empowerment ventures, resulting unto the establishment
of Unity Centers in Africa.
