We envision a place where
our ideals are put into the context of workable
solutions creating a livable urban space where
residents share knowledge and talents, give time
and expertise, and take responsibility for themselves,
their neighbors and the planet. Through the thoughtful
application of ecological design
concepts, we can make a powerful statement about
healing the earth and ourselves, demonstrate the
power of appropriate technologies and human scale
architectures that value, and uplift the human
spirit by creating built environments that are
authentically designed to maximize the quality
of our lives.
Rationale: Work
with rural and semi-urban communities in identifying
economically viable organic farming operations.
We are identifying global organic farming network
and technology to build the model for self-sustaining
community living. By sustaining the small communities,
many of them are in the rural areas in the developing
countries, migration from the rural area to urban
area would be corrected which will contribute
into the balance growth of the human evolution.
Project Design: Unity Center
USA will be designed with appropriate technologies
as well as eco-building approaches that can be
built by community members with professional guidance
and assistance. These projects will serve as training
center for OVF as well as a demonstration site
for the practical attributes of our integrated/whole
systems approach to sustainable development.
In relation to business and economic development.
we plan to design our Unity Center project taking
the social enterprise approach,
developing products and services to fund our community
development operations around the world. The OVF
USA Unity Center will promote sustainable eco-living
focusing on these these areas:
