Erich Kohler, born in Zurich, Switzerland,
lives in Switzerland and did expand living experience
lately into the US. Technology and communication,
customer care, customer management, solution development,
indirect sales and manage partner sales. This in a
full flavor is the "file rouge" in Erich
Kohler's professional carrier.
He started at Philips NV, with the basic education
and studies in Radio-Telecommunication. Later he held
various positions at Swissair (responsibility for
maintenance on radio- and navigation equipment), Reuters
News Agency (pre-sales and implementation of a ForEx
information system), DEC, Digital Equipment Corporation
(engineer - supervisor with responsibility for call
center, installation and operations of installation
in the financial market - Service Account Manager
in the Finance Market - Price Manager - Novell Program
Manager - Microsoft Program Manager - Communication
Manager), Cisco Systems, Channel Account Manager.
Create and implement new services, develop new partners
and negotiate service contracts for larger networks.
Deploy new IP Backbone at Swisscom, responsible Sales
for largest ISP Bluewin. Today Erich works at a subsidiary
of Deutsche Telekom as IP Project manager.
This broad experience is the right set to work in
a heterogeneous environment, to listen to customer
needs, to be creative and flexible, to develop solutions.
Economy in developing countries, specifically Africa
is of high interest. The business experience will
be used in onevillage to expand with technology solutions
into responsibilities to "Bridge the Digital
Divide". Erich will also link to global operations
based in Europe / Switzerland.
